Eligible Assistance

Eligible assistance may include:

  • Transit passes (bus or train)
  • Ride services (Uber, Lyft, or similar)
  • Emergency fuel assistance (limited)
  • Emergency vehicle repairs (essential only)
  • Other transportation support required for work or medical access

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Transportation need for work or essential medical care
  • Verified employment or medical appointment
  • Documented financial hardship
  • Required documentation provided
  • Request must support essential transportation only

Documentation Requirements

Applicants may be required to provide:

  • Government-issued ID
  • Proof of income or hardship (pay stubs, benefits letter, tax documents)
  • Employment verification (schedule, letter, or offer) or medical appointment documentation
  • Cost verification (transit pass, ride estimate, repair estimate, or fuel need)
  • Any additional documentation required to verify eligibility

Program Limitations

What This Program Does Not Cover:

  • Non-essential transportation expenses
  • Routine vehicle maintenance
  • Cosmetic repairs
  • Insurance, registration, or fines
  • Payments made directly to applicants
  • Incomplete or unverifiable applications
  • Requests not related to work or medical access
  • Any costs restricted by funding sources

How Assistance is Provided

  • Payments are made directly to approved vendors or service providers
  • Assistance is not provided directly to applicants unless specified by program guidelines
  • Payments are issued after all required documentation and verification are complete
  • All requests are subject to funding availability
