EFA Housing Stability Support
Eviction & Homelessness Prevention
Facing eviction due to an unexpected hardship?
AOP provides one-time housing support when a crisis puts you at risk of eviction or losing your home. Assistance may cover past-due rent and urgent housing-related costs needed to prevent displacement.
Payments are issued by check directly to the landlord or housing provider.

EFA Move-In Stabilization Support
Security Deposit & Move-In Cost Assistance
Need help moving into safe housing due to an unexpected hardship?
AOP provides one-time move-in support when a crisis creates an immediate barrier to securing housing. Assistance may cover security deposits, first month’s rent, and other required move-in costs.
Payments are issued by check directly to the landlord, property manager, or approved vendor.

EFA Utility Assistance
Shutoff Prevention (Electric • Gas • Water)
Hardship making it hard to buy food?
AOP provides short-term emergency support to help keep essential utilities on and maintain safe living conditions. Assistance may cover electric, gas, or water bills needed to prevent shutoff.
Payments are made directly to the utility provider, when possible.

AOP provides one-time emergency repair support when critical conditions threaten safe living and housing stability. Assistance may cover urgent repairs such as no heat, unsafe electrical issues, plumbing failures, or other immediate habitability concerns.
Payments are issued by check directly to the licensed contractor or property owner (not to the household), when applicable.

Need essentials right now to get through a crisis?
AOP provides short-term support to help households meet immediate basic needs and reduce barriers to stability. Assistance may include hygiene items, diapers, and other essential household supplies
Support is time-limited and provided in accordance with AOP program policies and grant requirements.

AOP provides short-term food support for households facing food insecurity. Assistance may include emergency groceries and access to available food resources.
Support is time-limited and provided as resources allow.

EFA Transportation Support
Work & Medical Access
No way to get to work or essential medical care right now?
AOP provides one-time transportation support when a transportation barrier threatens employment or critical medical access. Assistance may include transit passes, vendor-paid rides, or limited emergency help to restore safe, operable transportation for work or medical appointments.
Not covered: routine maintenance, cosmetic repairs, insurance, registration, fines, or non-essential vehicle expenses. Payments are issued directly to approved vendors only.

Work Essentials & Employment Barrier Reduction
About to lose a job—or can’t start one—because you’re missing something required?
AOP provides short-term, crisis-based support to help you secure or maintain employment when an urgent barrier stands in the way. Assistance may cover required work essentials such as uniforms, work boots, tools, certification/testing fees, and background check fees.
Payments are issued directly to the vendor or service provider (not to the individual), when applicable.

Community Education Program (CEP)
Practical skills for a successful life
Learn practical skills that support real-life success.
AOP offers free, community-based courses and workshops designed to equip individuals and families with practical skills to support long-term stability and independence. Topics may include parenting skills, financial literacy, budgeting, credit awareness, employment readiness, and service navigation. Sessions are designed to be accessible, relevant, and responsive to community needs.
Participation, topics covered, and outcomes are documented, and activities are delivered in collaboration with community partners and qualified facilitators.

Prison Outreach Program
Encouragement • Conversation • Mentorship
Ready to impact your community?
AOP volunteers visit local correctional facilities-biweekly to offer encouragement, conversation, and positive support to individuals who often experience isolation and limited outside contact. Through consistent presence and relationship-building, the program strengthens morale and promotes personal responsibility.
Participants are reminded they are not forgotten and are supported with dignity and respect.
